                                              Faithful Navigator’s Report

April was a great month for the Sullivan Brothers Assembly. At the annual exemplification, our assembly welcomed more Sir Knights than any other in the district. Many thanks to the Grand Knights and members of our affiliated Councils for their recruiting efforts. The April business meeting was an opportunity not only to welcome some of our new brothers, but to secure nominations for next year’s officers.  A great leadership team has been nominated and is listed below.  Additional nominations are welcome from the floor at the election during the May meeting, 8:00 PM, May 17th.

Also in May, we will be placing flags at the grave sites at St. Mary’s in Rockville both for Armed forces day and the Memorial Day weekend. Watch the Web site for more details. We are planning to visit the Monocacy battlefield in Frederick on Armed Forces day as part of our recognition of the anniversary of the Civil War.  SK, PFN Tom Schneider, a regular volunteer guide at Monocacy, will be our private tour guide. There is no cost for admission or tour and Tom has, surprisingly, located a place for lunch which features sandwiches and an ample supply of a variety of beers.
It is not too early to start planning for the June Social meeting. This pot-luck dinner meeting will feature our annual drawing of the 50/50 raffle winners as well as our annual two bit ($.25) raffle. If you haven’t returned your raffle tickets please do so soon. SK Joe Feakes has agreed to manage the two bit raffle and would like to receive donations in prime condition valued around 5-10 dollars two weeks before the event.

May God bless America and those who keep it free.

Our next Business Meeting will be on Thursday, May 17th at 8PM. Our Executive meeting will begin at 7PM. All Sir Knights are encouraged to attend.

Here is a peek at our next 2 meetings.

May 17 - Election of Officers
June 21 - Social Meeting, two bit raffle, the 50/50 drawing and exchange of Jewels

We will feature a new contest this year. Each month a new trivia question will be posted to this web site. A cash prize will be awarded to the person with the correct answer whose name is drawn at the next meeting.  The only hitch is that you must not only submit the correct answer (which should be easy) but you must be present to win. Submit your answer to the Faithful Navigator at wadams@whalaw.com  So here is this month's question.....
